Awesome lens.  High resolution and modern rendering.  Light weight and great build quality.

I have this lens in the M3 version. I should do some images with the M10. ;-). I used it in the past. The lens is very sharp in the center with a more classic rendering. Color is more cold then modern lenses, in my opinion...

The Summaron 2.8 is a firm favourite of mine.

Here's a shot I took, on the west coast of Scotland with the Summaron on a Leica M4, with Ilford Delta 400 film.

I bought my 1967 example some eight years ago - what a little gem.  The build-quality and materials are top class and the results whether on film or digital are always very pleasing.

M7, Tri-X.

M9.

Looking at the Summaron photos I have uploaded to Flickr over that period shows that majority usage has been with film - which rather surprised me. It seems to have spent most of the time on the 0.58 MP ALC (which I sold a year ago) then on M7.  Anyway, were I to sell any lens, this would be pretty much last on the list.

Summaron wide open, M10M.  Picture from today. I`m always wondering, how sharp this lens is even wide open.

I shot these two pictures in 2020, on a Leica M2 and 35 Summaron 2.8, on Kodak Portra 400.

I posted this shot on instagram and someone reckoned that the man on the escalator was Luke Skywalker.
