Does anyone find the Leica Q EVF too bright?

Hey everyone,

I bought a Q yesterday, it really is a nice camera but I noticed that the viewfinder is very bright, almost like the one on the xpro-2. Is there any way to lower the brightness on the Q?

Not sure about the Q but on my Q2 yes. In the menu page 3 choose Display Settings, then EVF brightness.

Hopefully the Q is similar.

I have similar issue . I too cannot look through evf .it’s too bright for my eyes.  There is no option to change brightness in Q. Q2 do have .

Maybe a bit Rube Goldberg, but you could find a bit of semi darkened transparent plastic like exposed film and cut something that sticks inside the ocular. There are also glare-reducing foils that stick to glass by static electricity, they are used for darkening car windows, maybe a local car customizing business will have a cut-off piece for you. Don't use adhesive foil, it might damage the coating.

I find every EVF to be like this. I can’t get used to them. I’ve tried reducing the brightness on all cameras I’ve owned with them but can’t get them working well for me.
