Advertisement Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 Hi Adrian220482, Take a look here New Sl2 will not power on... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LocalHero1953 Posted January 24, 2021 Share #2 Â Posted January 24, 2021 The final fallback is to leave the batteries out for 24 hrs and retry. But for a new SL2? Contact supplier.

Eclectic Man Posted January 24, 2021 Share #4 Â Posted January 24, 2021 Have you checked the battery contacts in the camera? If the same battery works in the q2m then they should look pretty similar. If they are not obviously obstructed, it is probably a return to the vendor.

Thanks for the advice, the contacts in the camera are the same as the q2m and no visible signs of damage

This just happened to mine. I have hardly used it and just sat down to learn the camera and dead as a door nail.

hmarkweidman Posted March 17, 2024 Share #10 Â Posted March 17, 2024 I have the same exact problem with my SL2. Â Dead as a doornail. Â Cleaned all the battery contacts, the battery compartment contacts, tried five different batteries (all of which work fine in my SL-2S), tried to power via a USB cable, lenses on & off, memory cards in & out, nothing works. Â Not even a glimmer of an LED. Â Probably will be shipping off to Leica tomorrow, for who knows how long ........
scott kirkpatrick Posted March 18, 2024 Share #11  Posted March 18, 2024 Serious problems in the first few weeks or days should be treated as DOA, and replaced. You can't check them adequately in the store.
