I am planning to set myself from scratch for photo processing and printing. I am considering and Eizo monitor and the new generation Apple Mac Mini M1 desktops (Apple's own chip instead of Intel) - with Lightroom.  As I am sure you know, the M1 comes with a different operating system and CPU - and as a result, many third party devices and software applications are taking time to develop adaptations.  Does anyone  here know if there is currently a problem with the Eizo monitors and or Lightroom - interacting with the new M1 CPU?  If so, is it serious, is there a workaround?

If you connect ONE EIZO monitor through USB there is no problem. I am using the Mac mini with the EIZO cs2470. It is running fine (with capture one). At the moment I am using a M1 with 'only' 8gb of Ram. So far that is not an issue at all and I do not believe it ever will be, unless you are going to do some very intens video editing. many people chose the 16gb though. But M1 handles ram different than the intel processors and it seems you can go by with less.

What is not yet working at the moment according to EIZO is the color navigator software. Havent had time to dive into it. But on Eizo's support site you can find some information on this. But it's on their roadmap to fix it.

Lightroom seems to be running fine on the M1 - if you are willing to believe all experts on YouTube. But best is still to find it out yourself.
