I am a basics shooter (shutter speed, aperture, ISO).  I have the LUMIX 70-200mm f4 lens.  I use it as full frame for everything except birds at my feeder.  Then I use it as APS-C to get the extra reach.  I would like to put the Sensor Format in my Favorites menu.  Can find no way to do that.  There is a user profile icon there, but I admit I do not understand “User Profile”.  Don’t understand what it is or how to use it.  Can someone please explain it in dummy language.  Can I use it to access Sensor Format instead of going into the main menu?  Thank you for any help.

User Profile is a particular set up of the camera that you have chosen, and saved as User Profile 1, User Profile 2 etc (up to 6). You can rename them e.g. 'Flash', 'Tripod' etc. You can create a User Profile for a set up that includes APS-C and rename it as e.g. 'APS-C'. When you want to use APS-C just select that User Profile. Conversely, you can have a User Profile with the full sensor size called 'My default', and select this to go back again. User Profiles include ALL your settings, not just one (i.e. not just APS-C)

User Profiles appear on the initial menu screen - you can select a particular profile by touch.

You save and rename user profiles from something like page 5 in the menus. It's one of Leica's clumsier menu settings: you have to scroll down through the list of profiles, then over the page to Manage Profiles.
