However, honesty compels me to point out that I simply shot the scene as it presented itself in front of me ... I was too dumbfounded by the notion of a deer approaching me in a forest to actually plan my photos of it! Of course, I got luckier than the friends with me did, as I had a camera in my hand while their cameras were tucked away in their backpacks...
