Advertisement Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Hi helged, Take a look here Lumix S5: "Operation Lock" (Menu/Set-button). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Daedalus2000 Posted January 4, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 4, 2021 (edited) From what I have understood from the manual, you must have set one of the function button as an Operation lock switch. So you pressed that button (or joystick I guess) and it locked your camera. So if you do not remember which button it is, go through all buttons in the camera one by one until you find the one that unlocks it. This includes the cursor buttons (all 4 movements) and joystick movements etc My god I did not realize how complicated this camera can be.. haha Edited January 4, 2021 by Daedalus2000

It turns out that Fn-button #10 locked - among other buttons - the Menu/set-button. Solved now! I have no idea how I managed to activate the lock mechanism; but it is difficult to blame others since - to the best of my knowledge - I'm the only one handling the camera...
cenak Posted April 25, 2022 Share #5 Posted April 25, 2022 Thanks for this post!!! I accidentally locked the Menu-set button as well.. ...my Fn-button #2 was the culprit. Crisis averted!
Alberti Posted May 21, 2022 Share #6 Posted May 21, 2022 I tried it too, deliberately. Why? To get the Leica simplicity. - didn’t work out like I wanted. Did a reset.
