Hi, couldn't find "Sigma 24mm" when searching the forum, so I figured this might an interesting topic for a new trhead (sorry if I overlooked a post).

I'm being offered a Sigma 24mm 1.4 Art for my Leica T (for a very interesting price) and I wonder if anyone has experience with this FullFrame L Mount lens on a T, TL(2) or CL. I know that effectively it will perform like 36mm but there's nothing wrong with that I think. Of course, haring your experience with the same lens on the SL camera is much appreciated as well. Also, i might be interesting to have when the time comes for an upgrade to fulframe (be it Leica, Sigma or Panasonic...)

Regards,

Marc

Marc, while I do not own a copy of this lens, I can say that the build quality and performance of the Sigma Art lenses are exemplary  It would be an excellent performer on your TL or CL, provided you accept it is full-frame size and bulk. I have the slightly slower Leica TL 23 mm Summicron for my CL which sacrifices one f/stop to your Sigma lens but gains by being lighter and slightly better suited  for travel photography. As always, it is a personal choice.

I use the Summilux M 24 on my CL I love the combo, but even that one is on the large and heavy side   And the Sigma weighs 200 grams more...🙄 I wouldn't consider it.
