How do you store your lenses?

In their respective leather cases, as provided by Leica.

In the case of CV or Zeiss who does not provide specific cases, I buy and use after-market leather lens bags that fit the particular lens (with its lens hood installed) as close as possible.

Naked lenses rattling around in a shoulder bag? Never.

I find this post very funny. When I get a new lense or body, the case that it came in goes back into the box and the box goes into a locker (only used again if a repair is needed or I sell the item).

The Lense goes into one of MANY bags that I have (as most professional photog's have a bag to fit the assignment) for the get up and go. If you have the TOOLS locked up or in NEVER READY CASES you can not use them when you need them.

On the other hand if you are a collector or holiday/weekend photog than you have an investment that is most likely not insured for daily use.

Living in Florida, we do not worry about the weather, as they say if you do not like it stick around a hour and it is sure to change.

The one think that I do carry is a GOOD Lense Cloth.

So as I have said before, these are tools not jewels, use them and try not to abuse them.

Leica has made a product that has lasted many years (and some of us are using lenses that are on the old side) and should stand up to almost any weather conditions.

All that said, take a photo of your lenses and body so that you can have it with you all of the time.
