Dead Vlei in Sossusvlei in the Namib desert.  Parts of the Namib get only 20 mm of rain all year, and this far inland (about 200 KM) most of the moisture is carried in on a sea breeze that all but dries on its way here.  Leica forum member Bill Parsons was kind enough to place a cropped version of this image on the cover of his 2011 book, Many Eyes, One Camera.
