Battery life depends on your usage. Are you taking a shot at a time, well spaced out, or are you rattling off dozens or even hundreds?  Do you switch the camera off between shots, use auto-shutoff or leave is running and ready? Do you have the LCD off all the time,  or do you leave it on, set it to Auto or do you chimp extensively? What is the outside temperature? -  cold can reduce battery capacity dramatically.  And so on. Rule of the thumb: always carry at least one spare battery more than you think you need.
As for cards, there are two schools: One will prefer as large a card as possible to avoid an interruption in shooting, the other prefers a number of small cards for security - cards can fail, be corrupted, get lost, stolen, eaten by the dog, etc. The more baskets your eggs are in, the better.

If I am out for a full day (or longer) of photography, I carry a spare battery and card.  My main card is 128gb Type II. Rarely do I need the second battery if I started out full. This served me well on a month's travels to Europe last year.  I back up my card and recharge nightly, also. My power is off when walking around and LCD is mostly off or set to auto when I occasionally want to use it. I also prefer to leave the touch screen off.

Put me down for 3 Spare Batteries
I keep my primary card in my camera is a 256 GB
I also bring spare cards a second 256 and 2 128s
Additionally when im away Traveling i ad to my Kit a USB charger and 2 10000 power banks for emergencies and charging my phone if needed
Many of you will say this is more then needed
I say better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it
