Arsenio Posted November 7, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good morning everyone. Just got my Leica Q2 and I have a question about where to store the camera. The reason for my questiong is because I am trying to prevent what happened to my other cameras and lenses. The climate here at Azores is humid and I got fungus on my other materiel. At this moment I have my Canon gear in a transparent plastic box with silica in it, no caps attached to lenses and facing a window. Should I keep my Leica Q2 in that box or out of the box with or without lens cap?

KenBennett Posted November 9, 2020 Share #4 Posted November 9, 2020 I've seen these cabinets recommended, though I do not own one: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1348545-REG/ruggard_edc_120l_electronic_dry_cabinet_120l.html They come in different sizes from "precious" to "gigantic." PhotoCruiser Posted November 9, 2020 Share #5 Posted November 9, 2020 (edited) Am 7.11.2020 um 12:10 schrieb jaapv: Get a dry storage cabinet. Absolutely correct! I ruined all my Nikon professional lenses with lens fungus in Costa Rica and now i have a dry cabinet there for camera and other delicate stuff. I have the same as KenBennet, 50L 3 shelf version and price was cheaper than in Adorama. I suggest you that you buy the biggest version as you will find other delicate tings to store inside, the 80L is still afforadble. You can buy in Adorama and they will ship to Azores, i had mine shipped to Costa Rica and they ship worldwide.
