There is a complex issue underlying the reasons why, it’s not a hipster movement.

Film is doing fine, it’s not for me any more but it’s not going away.

I still shoot film and shoot a lot. But I am moving toward your position.

You need to talk to the right people. The ‘more and more people ‘ that I see are the ones who are using film for the first time or who are going back to it. You seem very keen to condemn film to a grave which does not exist. You need to open your mind to the possibility that your perspective is not shared with others. My justification is not yours and yours is not mine and so on.
