Twest Posted November 4, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Camera firmware 2.7.5.0 Fotos app 2.2.2 iPhone IOS 14.1 works great for transferring photos. However, selecting the remote, the symbol on the screen constantly spins, and I am never able to see a view nor trigger the shutter.
Advertisement Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Hi Twest, Take a look here Leica M10-d fotos remote. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Twest Posted November 6, 2020 Author Share #2 Posted November 6, 2020 So I upgraded from an M-240 to the M10-D last Saturday. I was able to connect the fotos app, but I was never able to get the remote to function. After days of fiddling it is working. I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I will detail it regardless. Switching the camera to WiFi and waiting until the green light quits blinking then immediately connecting the fotos app allows the app to connect without multiple connection attempts and the remote functionality works. Previously I was not waiting for the green light on the camera to quit blinking and would have multiple failed connection attempts prior to connecting; at which point I was able to download photos and modify settings, but I wasn’t never able to get the remote working. scott kirkpatrick Posted November 8, 2020 Share #3 Posted November 8, 2020 Waiting for the green light to go out (which means that the WiFi link is ready) is something many of us have learned. I just tried Fotos 2.2.2 on my iPad (iOS 14.1) with my M10-D. Connection worked, and remote worked. Can you say more about what didn't work for you? Twest Posted November 9, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted November 9, 2020 (edited) I could never get into live view. The remote trigger would not work. When I selected remote, the application would spin indefinitely. Edited November 9, 2020 by Twest
scott kirkpatrick Posted November 9, 2020 Share #5 Posted November 9, 2020 I don't see a setting that could be causing this. If you have a VF20, plug it in. That should turn on liveview automatically, and if it doesn't do that, the camera has a problem. If you don't have a VF20, but can visit a store, that should help identify the problem.
