I found these negatives - they were considered lost - by chance, in the drawer of a small table we decided to sell. Remembrances of a Congo discovered two months after it became an independant country.

Probably 13 years, time elapsed since we moved from Alentejo to Algarve. The images were not "printed", but digitalized (I sold, long ago, my "dark room" equipment).

The guy in the second picture is wearing ornaments made with Cauri shells. Till year 1900 they were for a long time considered like money in a great part of Africa and Mid East. Even taxes were payed in Cauri shells. Nice shots.
