Chrisjohn Posted October 28, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, is there anyone out there who can tell me how I can configure my Leica V-Lux 114 to change the file name containing the images to one of my own? I want to rename the files. Thank you Chris
Advertisement Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Hi Chrisjohn, Take a look here Changing File Name on V-LUX 114. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted October 28, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2020 I don't have it to hand, but I am sure the handbook gives simple instructions defining what you can change. It is accessible online if you lack one.
Chrisjohn Posted October 29, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted October 29, 2020 Hello David, Thanks for this reply, I have the handbook and although its very comprehensive there is nothing (as far as I can see) that explains how to change the Folder name. There are various means of adding captions to pictures, but nothing about renaming the main file. Thanks again, regards, Chris.
wda Posted October 29, 2020 Share #4 Posted October 29, 2020 I always modify my filenames when ingesting new files into my Lightroom catalogue. There you can combine the original file with a custom name plus a sequence. Or many alternatives to suit your requirements. I add the original file name to the current date. You are very limited in what you can do in camera.
