Changing File Name on V-LUX 114

Hello, is there anyone out there who can tell me how I can configure my Leica V-Lux 114 to change the file name containing the images to one of my own? I want to rename the files.  Thank you Chris

I don't have it to hand, but I am sure the handbook gives simple instructions defining what you can change. It is accessible online if you lack one.

Hello David, Thanks for this reply, I have the handbook and although its very comprehensive there is nothing (as far as I can see) that explains how to change the Folder name. There are various means of adding captions to pictures, but nothing about renaming the main file. Thanks again, regards,  Chris.

I always modify my filenames when ingesting new files into my Lightroom catalogue. There you can combine the original file with a custom name plus a sequence. Or many alternatives to suit your requirements. I add the original file name to the current date. You are very limited in what you can do in camera.
