Nitnaros Posted August 20, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 20, 2007 I have been using my M8 in rainy conditions too: During my visit to Carinthia/Austria (Drau valley, village is called "Berg") last week we had a mix of rain and sun; the good thing here is that rain does not last long, the sun comes back most of the time on the same day. What I observed is some moisture in the viewfinder; it goes away after having the camera sitting in a dry place for half a day. I made the same experience with my M7 when I took it to canonying into white water. What is quite positive with a rangefinder camera is that you can keep the lid on the lense until one has finished composing and metering. That keeps rain away from the lense surface (most of the time). Images shot with Leica 24mm/2.8 ASPH and CV 15mm (both without IR-cut filters). Peter Welcome, dear visitor!
