The site is beautiful, elegant, restrained and solemn while still celebrating the lives of those killed there. The pools of the two fountains fill the footprints of the Twin Towers. We were away, diving in Indonesia (Barbara experienced decompression sickness that day), and it took weeks before we could contact dear colleagues with offices across the Westside Highway from the Twin Towers.
