I have a new SL2 and Leica 24-90mm lens. Somewhat frequently, I hear a clicking sound and the EVF and screen go black. Sometimes it simply stops after a few seconds and sometimes I have to power off. The sound almost seems like it's coming from the lens. When the black EFV/screen go black, none of the camera buttons function. Any ideas? (I currently only have this one lens)...thanks

No idea of what's going wrong - sorry - but the SL2+SL24-90 should not behave like this. Actually, it is my impression that rather few SL/SL2-bodies and/or SL-lenses have problems. I guess the body and lens need to be sent to Wetzlar for a check. Contact your dealer (if bought new or refurbished), your national representative or contact Leica's customer service directly:

I also had the problem with my SL 2 with 24 90. Since I've only owned the SL 2 for 3 weeks, this only happened once. I removed the battery and removed and reconnected the lens once from the camera. It hasn't happened since.

That worked for me a few times, then it just wouldn't work again after the battery and lens removal...Until I switched SD cards, been good to go since. (a couple weeks now)
