Max EPR Posted August 31, 2020 Share #1 Â Posted August 31, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a new SL2 and Leica 24-90mm lens. Somewhat frequently, I hear a clicking sound and the EVF and screen go black. Sometimes it simply stops after a few seconds and sometimes I have to power off. The sound almost seems like it's coming from the lens. When the black EFV/screen go black, none of the camera buttons function. Any ideas? (I currently only have this one lens)...thanks

Actually, it is my impression that rather few SL/SL2-bodies and/or SL-lenses have problems. I guess the body and lens need to be sent to Wetzlar for a check. thatkatmat Posted September 2, 2020 Share #3 Â Posted September 2, 2020 I had an issue with my EVF and LCD blacking out with all my lenses on my SL2. I tried everything I could think of, in the end, my SD card must have been the problem, put a new one in and it works perfect again.
molto1 Posted September 3, 2020 Share #4 Â Posted September 3, 2020 I also had the problem with my SL 2 with 24 90. Since I've only owned the SL 2 for 3Â weeks, this only happened once. I removed the battery and removed and reconnected the lens once from the camera. It hasn't happened since.

That worked for me a few times, then it just wouldn't work again after the battery and lens removal...Until I switched SD cards, been good to go since. vinicio Posted September 4, 2020 Share #8  Posted September 4, 2020 I had this issue only one time. Fixed just releasing and mount the lens properly (24-90).
