M lens on Cl

I just got an adaptor for M lenses for the CL... I do not get the image... What setting do I have to change?

It is not the Leica adaptor btw.

That depends on what you're trying to do.

The camera has an unknown lens attached. The Leica adapter identifies the lens. You will have to experiment and use your camera in manual mode. It should work.

With a third party adapter, you don't have access to Leica lens profiles and the focus magnification is on the four-way controller rather than the left or right wheel. However, the camera will still support Aperture priority and Manual exposure modes, focus peaking, and focus magnification. No Program or Shutter priority mode, and no EXIF data to support the 1/f or 2/f AutoISO settings.

thank it started working... I can select the lens from the lens profiles 90 Elmarit - M but it does not show p in the exif... Is that correct?

Yes: with a third party adapter, you can pick a lens profile but it doesn't embed the data into EXIF. To be honest, I'm not sure if it actually uses the data for JPEG captures; it might, but the raw files do not have any difference between "unknown" and a selected lens profile. 

The best adaptation of M mount lens on the CL is using the Leica M Adapter L.
