With a third party adapter, you don't have access to Leica lens profiles and the focus magnification is on the four-way controller rather than the left or right wheel. However, the camera will still support Aperture priority and Manual exposure modes, focus peaking, and focus magnification. Yes: with a third party adapter, you can pick a lens profile but it doesn't embed the data into EXIF. To be honest, I'm not sure if it actually uses the data for JPEG captures; it might, but the raw files do not have any difference between "unknown" and a selected lens profile.
