I've just had my X1 fully serviced by David Slater. This included repairing the flash with the later bracket, replacing the grey spring loaded battery clip, new internal battery, full cleaning and sorting out anintermittent  issue with the rear display. Additionally it now has a new leather casing as the old one is destroyed when stripping the camera out. This was all done for a modest £142 including insured shipping back. Having worked for Leica and being involved in the X2 development  Leica very kindly sold him all the parts they possessed for the X1 both in UK and Germany. If you have any X1 issues I thoroughly recommend him,

I have the same issue with the screen saying "remove lens cap and press any button." but i'm in france. would you know someone to help me . I want to save my X1.
