Leica app not connecting

New SL2 and the app will not connect to the camera - I have tried everything I can think of from resetting the camera to deleting and reinstalling the app...

The App "sees" the camera - says its joining but then says it cannot connect.

Any suggestions???

Make sure you are at 2.0 on the camera

The connection get established in BT, and usually people that can't connect are missing a step of the setup process.

I had the exact same problem--there is another thread on it.

Here is what Leica FOTOS in Germany told me ( for my iPhone):  Try and pair your SL2 to FOTOS..  While it is trying to connect, go to your phone's bluetooth settings.  The camera should be listed as a possible bluetooth connection on the phone . Delete it from the phone.  Then delete the FOTOS app and reinstall.  As the OP said, make sure you have 2.0 on your camera. 

All that said, I tried every possible iteration of deletions/resets prior to the advice from Germany.  When I got its I turned on the SL2 and FOTOS and it worked like a charm without doing any of the steps I have listed above.  Its a mystery.

Thanks rjsphd - got it working.  Finally tried the one thing that I didn't do - restart my phone.  Evidently this cleared the

bug.  The app paired flawlessly with my first SL2, so I knew it probably was my error.
