It is part of my "Leica collector" story. I started very early as an Aviation journalist, and was offered a Leica IIIc with Elmar lens by my "employer", the fortnightly magazine "L'Echo des Ailes". When I took this photo, I had already upgraded to IIIf/Summitar, and later came the M3/Summicron, and later... I had kept my "old" cameras by "habit", and it is only in the mid-seventies that I became really interested in Leica for other reason than quality and reliability.

But let's come to the image . It was taken at Farnborough, the yearly "rendez-vous" of all Aviation fans that I attended so many times, and was organized by the Society of British Aircraft Companies. Next to Aviation journalist, I was a pilot and became Captain in the Belgian Air Force, but that's another story.

Sorry for the quality of the photo of the Hunters team breaking away, but I had the bad idea, 20 years ago, to "digitalize" all my collection...
