Anthracite Gaffer Tape?

Maybe somebody did the same or knows the solution: I would like to cover the red dot on my anthracite top of the M-E 240 camera, but would like to use some sort of gaffer tape which resembles the same or very similar tonality of the anthracite top of this camera. I found online some anthracite tapes, but it is hard to tell from the picture if it is actually the needed color for this purpose. 

I do the same with covering the red dot on my M6 but this one is easy since it is black.

I just use black tape with a smaller grey piece in the middle, resembling the film M illumination window from far enough away.

You could always paint the camera black😀

No option for me for a variety of reasons.

I use the silver/grey tape that is used to attach air conditioning ducts in domestic/commercial installations.

 

In Australia, this can be bought at our local Bunnings store

Black Washi tape is the easiest to put over the red dot since its low tack and doesnt leave a residue so it wont damage your leica.
