epand56 Posted August 27, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 27, 2020 Wonder why one should buy a 7500 dollars lens to shoot a picture that looks like it was taken wit a 35 dollar Instamatic camera. I think something went wrong here.

I apologize for my rudeness but I didn't intend to offend, obviously. Having an M240 myself thus aware of its quality, I was quite surprised to see a picture that has the grain and quality of an old film camera and see that has been taken with a $ 14.000 equipment (one of the best lenses ever, as they say). Maybe I didn't understand the purpose of this picture.
newnew Posted September 1, 2020 Share #5 Posted September 1, 2020 The EXIF data is right. the image was taken at 1600 ISO which should not be a problem for m240. Probably the way OP has processed for posting does not show the characteristics of the lens. It is good to have some comments that go against the political kindness in this forum. The king is not always wearing clothes !
250swb Posted September 7, 2020 Share #6 Posted September 7, 2020 I don't think a photograph should be a demonstration of the lens, or the camera, that is just making photographs dictated by the equipment. So I'm wiling to believe the OP was trying to get the look of film but it hasn't been carried through as far as it should have been. I can imagine there is a nice photograph lurking in there that just needs bringing out.
