Guest Posted July 23, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 23, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, my Q has started changing aperture when it's set manually in aperture priority.. this seems to happen most often when it's set to 1.7, it will jump around to 2.8, 3.5, 4 etc. Any ideas what could be causing this? I've reset the camera, removed battery, running firmware 3.1. As a workaround I can set the aperture to Auto which defaults to 1.7. Cheers

Leica Guy Posted July 23, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 23, 2020 Seems odd. I’d set the ISO to a specific number. 400. Then I’d set shutter speed to a nominal value. 1/125. Then I’d try “A” Aperture and see if the aperture moves with different scenes. Then I’d set the aperture to specific values and see if the images reflect those changes. I’d rotate the aperture dial several times to ensure it’s communicating it’s value to the camera. If there are any problems, I’d send to Leica service. All seems to work fine until I select f1.7, with any ISO and shutter speed. The camera is out of warranty so I'm guessing it could be an expensive repair. I may just live with it and treat it as an f1.8 lens!
