John Z. Goriup Posted July 22, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 22, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) During an aimless drive in the country recently to simply get out of the house and see something other than our four walls, we came across this scene which instantly reminded me of an Edward Hopper painting. Stark, strong colors, an absence of people, details that speak volumes, a sense of empty loneliness..........I think the SL with the remarkable 16-35 S.V.E. captured what caught my attention very closely. stuny Posted July 22, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 22, 2020 Very nice. The Virginia Museum of Fine Art in Richmond mounted one of the best curated exhibits we've ever seen, this one on Hopper. You can see a number of his pieces beginning at the bottom of this page of our site: http://www.barbara-and-stu.com/plogger/index.php?level=album&id=
