Tried with tweezers. Hooked in something and pull it out. It was spring Welcome, dear visitor! I can cock the shuuter and fire it, open the bottom cover and film count reset, film advance and rewind Any one have idea what this piece is for? 250swb Posted July 20, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 20, 2020 (edited) It's to support the film leader, without it there is the possibility the film won't be taken up evenly/squarely as you wind on. I guess to get it back in wind the spring around a pencil etc. to the correct diameter and use the pencil to insert it back into the tulip. The smaller diameter end of the spring faces the baseplate.
