There is definitely benefit of not skipping the anti-aliasing filter on Q2.  However, moire does show up ugly sometimes.

I tried to apply moire removal in LR (dialed all the way), it it provides little effect.  In the image below, moire pattern is very ugly, both in pattern and color, for the planks in the back.  Any suggestions on how to remove them post?  Also, I wonder if we can buy optical low pass filter to put in front of the lens, although I am probably too lazy to use it.

Thank you for the advice.  The moire shows up even in BW. 

@Ken: yeah, I am talking about that part. Tried PS and LR, neither removed moire cleanly.  Might try to cover the lens with stocking as LPF next time...
