HighlandLeica Posted June 15, 2020 Share #1  Posted June 15, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Decided to purchase the 75mm f/1.25 having read some positive reviews and seen some excellent results from the budget lens. Have to say, I am impressed with the lens so far. Yes, it's soft wide open but I am finding it easy enough to correct in post without (I think, anyway) over-doing any sharpening to get acceptable clarity.  Here are some early attempts during a very murky and misty weekend. Welcome, dear visitor! spydrxx Posted June 15, 2020 Share #7  Posted June 15, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nice results. Apparently you aren't having issues either with framing or focusing, which is nice to hear, as often new owners whine and gripe. I picked up a 75 last year, but haven't yet had much opportunity to really run it thru the mill. Keep up the good work.
HighlandLeica Posted June 15, 2020 Author Share #8  Posted June 15, 2020 And one of the first shots taken when it arrived - high ISO, so quite grainy. This one f/1.25 too. Obviously getting used to focusing too. But all things considered re price vs performance, very happy indeed. Still saving for that Noctilux, though. That itch never goes... Welcome, dear visitor! I don't usually shoot at 75mm on the M, so that is something to get used to. Love to see your 75mm results when you get chance to post them.
Ray Vonn Posted June 17, 2020 Share #10  Posted June 17, 2020 Appreciated @HighlandLeica , thanks. You've certainly sparked my interest even though I've vowed to only get Leica lenses with my rangefinder. These are interesting times, what with that TTartisan 50mm F.095 nearly ready to drop as well.
