Did anyone ever make a Leica R to Rollei QBM adapter. In theory it is just about possible, with the relative flange focal distances Leica-R 47mm QBM 44.5mm but that may not be enough to allow the bayonets to fit. I know the QBM is quite a large throat bayonet like the R. The reason I ask is that in a fit of madness, I have just bought a Rolleiflex SL3003 35mm system motor drive camera, with 50/1.8 Zeiss Planar, 35/2.8 Rolleinar and 28-105 Rolleinar. It would be nice if I could use my R lenses but I fear it may be a non-starter.

Good question - I'd dearly love a QBM to R adapter as I adore the lenses,  but I find focus on the sl35 I have quite horrible. You can convert them to EOS mount though if that helps! I have the Planar, a 35 Distagon and 85mm Sonnar, glorious glass all of it and a song.

Just found out you can get an adapter for QBM to M mount. Now that is appealing!

Charles,

A QBM lens to R camera adapter is not possible as the QBM lenses have a shorter flange focal distance than Leica R (44.5 to 47) but in theory R lens to QBM body is possible. I have found a QBM to Leica M, which given its low cost, I might buy https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QBM-LM-Adapter-for-Rollei-QBM-Lens-to-Leica-M-M9-M8-M7-M6-M5-TECHART-LM-EA7/223021640832?hash=item33ed202c80:g:Fr8AAOSwB-1Y7jDU . I think the 28-105mm could be a good lens on my M240 and M10R/M10X/M11 whatever it is called when it arrives later this year.

Charles,

I  already use a Zeiss Vario Sonnar CX/Y 28-85 on my M240 with a Novoflex adapter. The only problem is the low resolution of the Visoflex EVF (I am actually using the identical but half price Olympus version). As I am only using the EVF, missing framelines are not a problem.
