jbstitt Posted August 11, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 11, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can someone help me. I had sectors going bad on my hard drive and yes I was able to backup all my data. I bought a new main hard drive, reinstalled XP and all my programs including Photoshop CS. Then last night I tried to open a RAW file and found I no longer had the ability to do so. I remember for when I installed it the first time I had to do something to make it RAW file capable. Can anyone remind me of what to do? Do I download something from the Adobe web site or is what I need on the CD? Any help on this procedure would be much appreciated. I need to be able to open D2 and DMR raw files. John Stitt
Advertisement Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Hi jbstitt, Take a look here Lost my RAW Plugin with PS-CS Ver. 8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
owen_coors Posted August 11, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 11, 2006 You probably have to update the RAW plugin to a newer version to have it open your camera's raw files. I just went through this very same thing a couple of days ago. Owen Coors
wparsonsgisnet Posted August 11, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 11, 2006 John, You do need to go to the Adobe site to the download section. Make sure you get the correct download. You will need the latest that includes your camera name. Don't forget their instructions so you can put the correct add-in file in the correct, stupid location. This stuff is enuf to drive a photographer mad. Bill
wilfredo Posted August 11, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 11, 2006 Bill: I had the same problem. Get the Download. If you get stuck, call Adobe for technical support, I had to. Cheers, Wilfredo+ Benitez-Rivera Photography

jbstitt Posted August 12, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted August 12, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) All loaded and fixed but if others are using CS instead of CS2 be sure to download the version 2.4 driver instead of the 3 series. The 2.4 is the highest version that will work with CS, PS version *. John
