Martin K Posted May 28, 2020 Share #21 Posted May 28, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) If the lens moves at all, the amount it should move from infinity to 600mm is about 0,17mm if the lens is considered as a simple lens. It is obviously not, it has a few components. But this gives an idea of how little it has to be moved. Can easily be calculated as a first approximation by the formula x=f*f/(u-f), where x is the amount moved, u is the focus distance and f is the focal length.
