thatkatmat Posted May 26, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Tried searching for this here but can't seem to bring up results. Just wondering what works best for folks. Also, can I use that same flash head with my Q2? I like to use my flash off camera, cross shooting and so forth so, I'm guessing I need a trigger as well. Advertisement Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Hi thatkatmat, Take a look here What flash head and remote trigger are you using on your SL?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
thatkatmat Posted May 26, 2020 Author Share #2 Posted May 26, 2020 I meant flash "gun" like a strobe that you attach to the hotshoe. Just wondering if the Leica is any better than the Godox which is what I've been using with my Sony gear

thatkatmat Posted May 26, 2020 Author Share #5 Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) I've never seen the connect before...that's a cool little unit. So, the hot shoe on my Leica is compatible with Nikon? Edited May 26, 2020 by thatkatmat
Mick H Posted May 27, 2020 Share #6 Posted May 27, 2020 In the studio for product and portraiture, I use a Pocket Wizard PWIII in the hot shoe and Buff E640s and older Nikon speed lights with Pocket Wizard transceivers. Outdoors on location, I use the Leica SF 60 flash and SF C1 transmitter for HSS wide open portraits (on light stand with a shoot through umbrella typically). I use the SF 60 mostly off camera but it works great on camera for fast macro shots (with provided diffusor installed).
