The viewfinder distance knob is grinding..and rough.. You would think something like this would be tough.. I hardly ever use it..but its broke.. Try a few of the Leica dealers:- Miami/Tamarkin/PopFlash, maybe even Leica USA.. Or buy a used one, and then sell the spare when it's repaired.. I don't know if he can fix the Universal Viewfinder, but it's worth your time to contact him.
