tommonego@gmail.com Posted May 20, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 20, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I am converting b&w film negatives to positive, photographing them with my CL on a slide copier. I bring the image into ACR and I seem to have the option of two profile settings, Greyscale and Adobe Monochrome, are these sufficient or should I look for another monochrome profile? Advertisement Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Hi tommonego@gmail.com, Take a look here What "Color" Profile with Monochrome Image. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted May 21, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 21, 2020 You can set it to Adobe RGB and 16 bits in the link under the preview. That way you have the best contrast gradient and you can do toning. Otherwise leave them in greyscale - you'll have to convert to RGB in the end anyway, not all devices accept greyscale.
