Thanks Just got quoted 9 weeks assuming all parts are available. If that sounds nuts, that’s because it is. It’s also by a good margin the shortest time frame I’ve been quoted.

If not he has an M3 lever and screw that he says works for all M's - I'm just checking with him if it will work with an M10.
jaapv Posted June 3 Share #23 Posted June 3 Happy to hear that this is resolved. The background story leaves me gobsmacked. It is like claiming that a car suspension must be disassembled to fix a flat tyre

It is like claiming that a car suspension must be disassembled to fix a flat tyre Well you're right of course, this is more than ridiculous for what cannot be more than a five minute job. I can only assume that Leica NJ service dept' or the same in Wetzlar have a considerable back up of repairs and services awaiting their attention, and that by itself is a situation that's worrying enough by itself and should tell us something. Why so many needed repairs? Edited June 3 by Smudgerer

Yes Dagcamera had it - the screw has a slot in it to make it lot easier to tighten it. Not perfect but not bad. Thank you to Jaapv for the lead. https://www.dagcamera.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html
