Ali, this is a wonderful monochrome. This shot reminds me of Kazuko, a beautiful Japanese girlfriend I once had; she had a collection of fantastic Japanese dolls. As you can notice, I always had a close connection with this beautiful country and some of  it’s people as my best friend in high school, Mishio,  was also Japanese. 😁I always very much enjoyed the art and the culture of those folks (that is unfortunately disappearing among those living in Western countries) In those days, one of my favorite film directors was Kurusowa, and one of my favorite actors, T. Mifune. Sorry for the spelling!

I really have to go back for a long trip. 🤗

PS: I even had  classes to teach Judo and Jiu Jitsu when I was still young with much hair on my head! (Seated in the middle) 😂

What a wonderful picture Louis. Before even reading your text I tried to identify you and based on your profile picture I was successful !!

japan is one of the advanced countries where people are friendly to photographs and if they feel you are interested into their true culture they are very helpful. We even were offered ceremonial tea in a painting gallery by amateur people without speaking a word of japanese ! I hope you can make it there again after all of this turmoil is gone   !
