wolan Posted April 6, 2020 Share #1  Posted April 6, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi not long ago I have seen a video where a guy suggests a power pack to recharge Leica batteries while out shooting. I can't find the video anymore, do you know some product that can help here ? Thanks.
Advertisement Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Hi wolan, Take a look here Power pack for M10 batteries?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Good To Be Retired Posted April 6, 2020 Share #2 Â Posted April 6, 2020 Actually, I have a Paul C Buff Vagabond power pack that I use for strobes in the field and thought about using it for this exact purpose. Â Plug the factory charger into the Vagabond. Â I'd have to research whether the mfgr of the power pack would consider that an acceptable use first. Except that it's a lot heaver than a bunch of spare batteries and less convent than the car charger. Still, I can envision occasions where it might be useful. LeicaS2 Posted April 7, 2020 Share #3  Posted April 7, 2020 Nitecore has chargers that are powered off USB. Josh at Leicastoremiami has review them https://www.reddotforum.com/content/2018/10/its-here-the-leica-m10-usb-dual-battery-charger-by-nitecore/ https://www.nitecorestore.com/ULM10-Pro-Charger-for-Leica-BP-SCL5-Batteries-p/chg-nite-ulm10pro.htm I have not ordered one yet, but if you match it with most any USB battery pack, I would think it would do the job for you without using a larger batter pack that does 120 Volts.

Thank you. In the meantime I did some research and found this article: https://www.nylon.com.sg/2019/02/my-leica-m10-p-setup-hacks-and-troubleshooting-the-fotos-app/ It suggests basically to buy the Nitecore and combine it with a power bank. Where I am not sure now is: what kind of power bank to buy? What characteristics should it have?  Thank you.
LeicaS2 Posted April 8, 2020 Share #5 Â Posted April 8, 2020 I have a Nitecore for the CL batteries and just used a decent sized pack for $50.00. Might as well make sure it has 20,000 mAh or you won't get many charges. https://www.amazon.com/TalentCell-Rechargeable-11000mAh-20000mAh-Portable/dp/B01337QXMA?ref_=ws_cp_df6d79288055bc87b432_p_3_i_p
Gobert Posted April 11, 2020 Share #6  Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) I would suggest to use a Goal Zero Yeti for this purpose. You can connect various chargers via 230 and/or USB. Edited April 11, 2020 by Gobert
