Paolou Pigini Posted April 5, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good morning, has anyone tried the Novoflex Reverse Adapter? https://www.novoflex.de/en/products-637/macro/reverse-lens-adapter-canon-eos.html I was wondering also what kind of magnification to expect from a Panasonic 24-105 at 24/50/105 [mm]. Thanks

vanhulsenbeek Posted April 5, 2020 Share #2 Posted April 5, 2020 Interesting: I wonder what light remais when stepping down/up from 82 mm!
Ingo Posted April 7, 2020 Share #3 Posted April 7, 2020 I'm using the reverse Reverse Adapter with an S1/R and Leica 24-90 (I only own a 82mm Reduction Ring and no 77mm). The object size that fills the format is 17mm at 35mm focal length (2:1) 23mm at 50mm focal length (1,6:1) 33mm at 75mm focal length 40mm at 90mm focal length At 24mm you get 13mm but the distance to the object is less than 10mm so no more light falls on the object. 1

dkCambridgeshire Posted April 29, 2020 Share #5 Posted April 29, 2020 Has anyone tried reversing the Sigma 45/2.8 L lens using the Novoflex reverse adaptor, and if so, do you have some results? BW dunk

Can you please advise about the ergnomics of using the Leica 24-90mm 'reversed' for c/u imaging e.g. do you use it handheld or on a tripod with a focus rack? Do you use / does it need the Novoflex tripod adapter ... Does the tripod adapter fit OK when lens is reversed? BW dunk

BW dunk So far I use it on a tripod with a focus rack (https://www.novoflex.de/en/products-637/macro/focusing-racks/focusing-racks-castel/castel-q.html). I don't own the Novoflex tripod adapter but I guess it would fit OK. But there is absolutely no problem without the adapter. In principle handheld should also work with enough light/short shutter speed. It's just tricky to find the correct focus point.
ells@watleo.uwaterloo.ca Posted May 26, 2020 Share #8 Posted May 26, 2020 I am considering this and have the novoflex BalPro bellows currently. Ca you give a qualitative assessment of image quality with a reversed leica lens. I would use the 24 to 90 reversed.
