Linus84 Posted March 28, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 28, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I mounted my 55-135 on my T and by chance noticed there are multiple AFs and AFc modes. For example one regular and one with ‘>AFs<‘. Does anyone know what they are?No info in the manual or after a quick googling of the matter. It only shows on my 55-135, not the 18, 23 or the 18-56. I first thought it was a focus limiter function, but after some testing I don’t think it is. Any clues?
Advertisement Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 Hi Linus84, Take a look here T - different AFs, AFc modes?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted March 28, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 28, 2020 AFS allows a single setting, whereas AFC allows lock-on and follow focus. Quite normal for modern digital cameras.
Linus84 Posted March 28, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted March 28, 2020 Yeah sorry if I was a bit unspecific in my original post. I know the difference between AFs and AFc for shure. But what is the difference between AFs and >AFs< and AFc and >AFc<? The modes with the ‘><‘ symbols can only be found with the 55-135 mounted. JPP1 Posted March 29, 2020 Share #10 Posted March 29, 2020 I have no CL so I can't do some testing but the instruction manual has a topic named "LIMITING THE AUTOFOCUS SETTING RANGE" that seems to be appropriate.
