S Lenses – How to Clean Rubber Rings

Does anyone know of a recommended way to clean/maintain the rubber rings on the S lenses?

I need to check my emails, but a Leica Store rep told me to use a small amount of rubbing alcohol to restore the rubber.  I'm sure that was it, but I'll check to be sure.  Think I used an old toothbrush to apply.  It evaporates well.

Looks like a neat product @LeicaR10

I did confirm:  Rubbing alcohol will restore the rubber rings on the Leica lenses - I used it on an APO 180 I bought used.  That was a Leica Store rep that suggested it.
