jpreisch Posted March 19, 2020 Share #1  Posted March 19, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) With the cost of used SL's coming down, I'm thinking of getting one. I currently have a CL. I use to have a Q but the constant 28mm seemed too confining for me so I traded for the CL. I have a few M lenses from when I had an M8. My questions for all the SL owners here is how well will the M lenses work on the SL? Is focusing a problem? (I have the M-adapter L and they work fine on the CL)? The second question is how will the 18-56 that came with my CL work on the SL? is there any vignetting and if there is can it be corrected? The last question I have is how does the SL compare to the Q in regard to image quality? Thanks Jim
Advertisement Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Hi jpreisch, Take a look here Thinking of getting an SL. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ropo54 Posted March 19, 2020 Share #2  Posted March 19, 2020 M lenses will work superbly on the SL.  The viewfinder is excellent. No vignetting with the 18-56 (nor with any of the T lenses) and it works superbly as well.  The only limitation is the 10 megapixel file from the APSC lenses. I do not think you'll see any difference in IQ between the SL and Q. Regards, Rob
mikepower Posted March 19, 2020 Share #3  Posted March 19, 2020 Hi , I've in the same case. I have a CL and just bought a SL to use with my M Lenses. I'm very happy with the result, I will test it more as soon as this Coronovirus lets me leave the house. Take care everybody.
