A few pics from a walkabout old town Folsom: T + VM 15/4.5 III

Folsom Truss Bridge. The original way of crossing the American River. Built in 1893, the bridge was dismantled in 1930 and reassembled 300 miles away in another town. Later that town upgraded their bridge and this one came back to Folsom as a pedestrian/bike only bridge in the 1990s.

Historic Powerhouse (1895). One of the first in US using AC hydroelectric power rather than steam powered DC generators as was the norm then.
