Ronald Weissman Posted March 14, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nissin's latest arrived, a shoe mounted version of the MG10 (Canon version), the MG80 Pro. While it pairs with the SFC1 and fires the flash from the controller (once), and changes on the controller are sometimes reflected on the flash, the flash does not fire when the SFC1 is placed in the SL2's hot shoe. The same issue happened when the MG10 originally shipped. I assume this is because the MG80 needs new firmware to recognize completely the Leica controller? This is what happened when the MG10 was originally released. Has anyone managed to get this new flash working with Leica's branded version of the Nissan controller (made by Nissin for Leica)?
