Hello everyone, new member here.

The battery contact has broken off on my 1968 Leicaflex SL, and I'd like to investigate it further.

I can see there are 2 screws holding the bottom plate on.  Will the plate come away easily, or are there any suprises instore?

Is the rewind button attached to the bottom plate, or does it just sit through an opening?

Thanks a lot

Garry

Thanks DK, I'll have a careful look at what you suggest.  This was my dad's camera, so I'm a bit wary of diving into it.  If I'd bought it myself, I'd have had it apart and working by now!

Been trying to get a pdf of that book, but keep ending up on dodgy websites that set off my AV warnings.

Thanks.

There is a Kindle version of the Repair book, see Amazon. Costs in paper 175 Euro, as Kindle version 25 Euro.

Thanks for the pointer.  I found it on amazon.de, but they won't let me order it through the German site.  I'm waiting to see if amazon.uk can sort something out for me.
