Falkenberger Posted March 3, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I've recently become the proud owner of a Q2. After years of photographing with Sony cameras I have now dared to take the step to Leica. During the first test shots I also tried to get solar stars with an aperture of 11 or 16. Unfortunately I did not succeed. Did I do something wrong or is it not possible with the Q2?
Advertisement Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Hi Falkenberger, Take a look here Sonnensterne / solar stars. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted March 3, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2020 Solar stars are more pronounced as the angles between aperture blades get more acute. The Q2 has a nice round aperture (good for bokeh), so it is difficult -but not impossible- getting them. this is the easy solution: https://www.foto-huppert.de/filter/sterngitter/

PhotoCruiser Posted March 3, 2020 Share #4 Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) The Q2 makes lovely sun stars! Just keep your lens diafragm closed as much you can. f/14 @ 1/125sec 100 iso Welcome, dear visitor!
